Sitecore Data Exchange Framework

Sitecore Data Exchange Framework is designed to facilitate the transfer of data between systems. It allows you to define the logic needed to read data from a source system, transform that data into a format that is compatible with a target system, and write the transformed data into a target system. Developers can build connectors that allow 3rd party systems to serve as source and target systems.


This provider can  can read from any RSS feed and can create items  in Sitecore. This module follows the pattern which is described in the example.

Installation and Pre-requisites

This provider is developed and tested with  the latest version of Sitecore 8.2 Update 2 with  CMS only mode.

Step 1)

Install the Sitecore’s “Data Exchange Framework” package from location

Step 2)

Install the “Sitecore Provider for Data Exchange Framework’ from location

Step 3)

Install the “RSS Feed Provider for Data Exchange”  using the Sitecore’s installation wizard.

Step 4) Input your favorite RSS feed URL.

Step -5) Synch the data from the RSS feed into Sitecore by running the “Pipeline Batch-Synch RSS Feeds to Sitecore Items Pipeline Batch” and the items are getting created in Sitecore.
